End-User License Agreement
Last updated: November 6, 2026
This End-User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is between you (the person or organisation that bought the license, the “Licensee”) and the MacSuite team(“we”). It covers the direct-download MacSuite apps and any updates we provide for them (the “Software”). By installing or using the Software you accept this Agreement. Purchases are also covered by our Terms of Service.
1. License grant
- One MacSuite license lets the Licensee install and use every MacSuite app on up to 3 Macs that the Licensee owns or controls.
- The Software may be used for personal and commercial purposes by the Licensee. If the Licensee is an organisation, each license is for one named person, who may use it on up to 3 Macs.
- Without a license, each app can be tried for 7 days on each Mac.
- The license is non-exclusive and non-transferable, except as allowed under section 3.
2. Restrictions
The Licensee may not:
- copy, distribute, rent, lend, sell or sublicense the Software or license keys;
- share a license key with others or use it on more Macs than allowed;
- remove or work around the license checks;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent that applicable law expressly allows it despite this restriction.
3. Transfer
A license can't be transferred to another person. You can move it between your own Macs: choose Deactivate on this Mac in any MacSuite app on the old Mac, or email hi@smartspreadsheets.co if you no longer have it. An organisation may reassign a license to a different staff member when the original user leaves.
4. Open-source components
The Software includes open-source components licensed under their own terms, listed on the open-source licenses page. Nothing in this Agreement limits your rights under those licenses.
5. Updates
We may provide updates that fix bugs, change features or keep the Software working on new versions of macOS. Updates are covered by this Agreement unless they come with their own terms. A license includes every update we release for the MacSuite apps; if we ever charge for a future major version, we'll say so before it is released, and the versions you already have keep working.
6. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights in the Software, its names and logos.
7. Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some apps move files to the Trash, convert files or change the clipboard at your request — keep backups.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from the use of the Software. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the license. Nothing in this Agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
9. Termination
This Agreement ends automatically if the Licensee breaches it, or if the license is refunded or charged back; the license key is then revoked and the apps stop working after their next license check. The Licensee may end it at any time by deleting the Software. Sections 6 to 10 survive termination.
10. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the country where MacSuite’s operator is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
